Photographic Restorations

Dig out that old faded and torn photo of Grandma and Grandpa or one of those favorite vacation photos and let us bring it back to life.  We can remove red eye, smooth blemishes, fill in torn sections of the photo, and enhance faded color.

Prices for photo restorations fluctuate a great deal due to the varying degrees of work required on submitted photographs.  Our prices are based upon an honest estimate of the required amount of work to achieve the most satisfactory results.

All of our restoration services involve the removal of dust, scratches and minor defects.  This service is provided to ensure that any enlargement of the print will not reveal defects that were not noticeable on a smaller size submitted print.  Although we do most of our restoration work by scanning older prints, we often can improve the results if a negative or transparency is available and would recommend submitting these to us.

We perform three restoration services and a special alteration service.  These services are:

A Basic or simple restoration for $25.00 plus $3.00 S/H.  This service is provide for photos that are in good condition needing only minor repairs such as minor scratches or dust spots, removal of blemishes, scars or other distracting features such as red-eye.  This service also includes minor color, brightness and contrast corrections.

A Moderate restoration for $30.00 plus $3.0 S/H.  This service is provided for photos that are in fairly good condition but need some repairs or adjustments.  These adjustments involve repair of cracking, filling in torn areas, fixing moisture damage, and removing wrinkles.

A Major restoration for $35.00 minimum plus $3.00 S/H.  A quote will be provided prior to work commencement, see procedures for submissions below.  This service is provided if the photo is in poor condition and needs extensive work.  Repairs needed on a major restoration include filling in missing portions of the photo, repairing major scratches and enhancement of severe fading.

A Special alteration service for $15.00 in addition to any restoration work.  This service basically involves the removal or addition of people and objects to a photo.  This service also is provided to merge two photos to add persons, places or things and can often be used to enhance landscapes by adding a more pleasing sky photo.

Procedures for submissions:  Photos should be sent by mail using the confirmation of delivery option.  No fees are required prior to our receiving the photograph.  Upon receipt of the photograph we will email a quote and payment can be made by credit card, money order or check.  If payment is made by credit card, select the restoration option and enter the quoted price plus shipping and handling charges.  Since this is a service and not a sale of goods, no taxes are applicable.

Photographic Assignments

Our extensive travel experience, equipment inventory, and technical expertise all work toward making us an ideal choice for that special assignment.  We are available for most assignment types except weddings and have experience in all types of climates and geographical conditions.  Fees for contractual assignments are negotiable - send us a request stating the location, subject matter, number and type of photographs required and any other significant information.  We will provide you with a quote within 3 working days.

Photographic Collages

Tell a visual story.  Grandma would just love to have a collage of that favorite grandchild superimposed on a favorite place.  Some samples of our collages are shown below. 

	We can make a collage from our photographs or from yours.  These collages are ideal for telling a story.  Friends and family would love to have a collage of that favorite person surrounded by objects that emphasize their interests.

Collages are priced at $135 using our photographs and $160 using your photographs. The collages will be printed on 13 x 19 inch archival professional quality photographic paper. As these are custom productions, they must be ordered by e:mail or telephone, the shopping cart does not support these orders. The custom created collages will be shipped un-matted and un-framed to enable the purchaser to personally select the suitable materials to enhance their collage in accordance with their personal taste.
