Sue Hanson

Sue has been involved with the arts since an early age when she took up figure skating and music.  An accomplished pianist, she has utilized her music and skating background to design many ice show numbers, the costumes, and the choreography for the skaters' numbers.  Sue's artistic talents are evident in the dedication she exhibits when taking each and every photograph.  In addition to her technical expertise, she researches every area that she plans to shoot and is always prepared for the right lighting, the best weather conditions, and the best times to capture "People in their environment."  Sue was born in Michigan but spent much of her adult life in Kansas City where she married an ole run-down Swedish hockey player that she met at the ice rink.

Bob (Swede) Hanson

Bob was born and brought up in the Boston area where he was tagged with the nickname, "Swede."  A old football coach by the name of Carlson could not remember his name and started calling him, "The other Swede."  This name stuck through high school and later even at West Point.  Swede was fortunate to have been able to travel a great deal with the military and later as a United States advisor to The International Civil Aviation Organization.  During Swede's travels he devoted all of his off duty time to learning the customs of the country, meeting the people and photographing as time would permit.  Swede has a Master's Degree from the University of Kansas and is a licensed pilot holding an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and several flight instructor certificates.

Company Philosophy

We welcome you to our photo site.  We are anxious to share our world travel experiences with you.  Our goals for creating this site are to show you the beauty and various cultures of the world.  We hope you will enjoy browsing through our photos, maybe remembering places you have been or may want to visit.  We would be pleased if you would like to purchase photos as well.  Because we desire to present you a wide variety of photos, we are including some that are not of the highest quality due to age and handling problems.  These photos are added strictly for your viewing pleasure.

Most of the photographs in this site were created with Nikon* SLR film and digital cameras.  Photographs scanned from film transparencies were primarily made with Fuji* Velvia or Provia-F film.  Digital photographs were taken with a Nikon DIX, Nikon D-100, or D-70 SLR in the raw mode.  The digital photographs taken in the raw mode have been adjusted in Photoshop* and saved as Tiff files prior to printing.

It is important to us that you, the customer, receive exactly what you would like; so if you have specific requirements other than those listed, we would ask that you contact us.  We will make every attempt to fulfill your request.  The prints mailed to you are copyrighted and cannot be reproduced in any manner without the express written consent of Sue and Swede’s Global Images.  Some of the photos shown on this site are restricted to a maximum size of 8 x 10 inches and are identified as such. Some historical pictures will be limited in distribution (e.g. the World Trade Center photographs).

We thank you for your interest in our photo site and hope that you will share it with your friends and colleagues.  For additional information, please contact us at (386) 446-5215 or ssglobalimages@aol.com.
